This remarkable achievement not only sets a new benchmark for the construction of new energy battery production bases in China but also showcases XCMG’s formidable strength in intelligent manufacturing, project management, and industrial chain synergy, injecting strong momentum into the global energy transition drive.
The Super Battery Factory, a key project in XCMG’s strategic layout in the new energy sector, covers an area of 200 mu with a total investment of approximately 1 billion yuan. It is designed to house several industry-leading power battery PACK production lines, with a planned annual capacity of 6GWh in the first phase. What makes this project stand out is its unprecedented construction speed: from the start of infrastructure work to the official roll-off of the first batch of products, the entire process was completed in merely ten months, far exceeding the industry’s average construction cycle of 18-24 months.
The rapid completion and commissioning of the factory are attributed to XCMG’s decades-long accumulation in intelligent manufacturing and engineering construction. Adopting the “XCMG Intelligent Manufacturing Seven-Star Navigation” model, the project integrated 5G full-connection, digital twin, and intelligent logistics technologies throughout the construction and production preparation phases. Advanced construction techniques such as prefabricated components and modular installation were widely used, reducing the on-site construction time by 30% compared with traditional methods. Meanwhile, XCMG’s professional project management team established a full-process dynamic monitoring system, ensuring seamless coordination between design, construction, equipment installation, and personnel training.
As a high-end intelligent manufacturing base, the Super Battery Factory boasts outstanding technological advantages. The production lines realize full automation and informatization through robots, AGVs, and MES information systems, with a production line automation rate of over 85% and fully unmanned operation in high-risk processes. The factory can compatible with more than ten types of blade battery cells, and its flexible production line can quickly adjust procedures to meet the personalized delivery needs of commercial vehicles, construction machinery, and other fields. The batteries produced here adopt advanced technologies such as double-layer cell stacking and super thermal management systems, featuring low expansion rate, high safety, and high space utilization, which are at the leading level in the industry.
The commissioning of the Super Battery Factory marks a major breakthrough in XCMG’s independent research and development and mass production capacity of power batteries, laying a solid foundation for strengthening the new energy pillar industry. As a “chain leader” enterprise, XCMG will give full play to the radiation-driven effect of the factory, driving the agglomeration of upstream and downstream industries such as key materials, structural parts, and system integration.
